Firstly Happy New Year, hope you had a great holiday if you celebrated.
So, here we go into 2025, a dreadful start weather wise in the UK, with snow in the North and rain pretty much everywhere else. So we hope you are keeping warm and dry wherever you are.
This year we are celebrating 26 years of Urban Radio, our very first website was produced by a guy who lived down the road from me, it was a very clever site for it’s time, with Flash and clickable soundbytes. This later evolved into something really special in 2003 with a 3D studio layout and more Flash 6 than anyone else.
It’s certainly been an eventful 26 years, starting with Pirate stations in the South East in the early days to customers worldwide as internet usage surged. Technology has changed so much, we can now do anything from home and communicate with people for years without ever meeting them.
However, one thing hasn’t changed and that’s we create unique productions for every order, to your unique requirements, and it’s fine too if you want to leave it all to us, we probably know what you want anyway !
Sometimes though I have to remind myself why I got into radio in the first place, and that was my love of music. All these years later I still listen to at least 6 hours of music a day, I’m still across everything new (I hope) and learn fast.
